About Susie Fearn

I am a fully qualified counsellor and hypnotherapist based in Heaton Moor, Stockport. My journey in counselling has evolved from a background of training in person centred therapy, to working with a range of approaches, and in doing so being able to tailor my support to the needs of each individual client.

My client base encompasses all age groups. I am experienced in working with a diverse clientele from various cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. Prior to becoming a counsellor I worked for over twenty years as a teacher and early years practitioner. As with counselling,  both of these roles were nurturing ones. Supporting and guiding each individual to reach their full potential emotionally, socially and educationally, helping them to achieve their goals. Counselling therefore became the natural progression for me.

I have a varied life experience that has taken me from working within inner-cities, to the open plains of Africa. Along the way I encountered and supported people with a huge range of backgrounds, personalities and life experiences.

My qualified status in play therapy allows me to work with children of any age. I have experience of working as a counsellor in primary schools.

I hold certification in an echo-therapy style known as ‘walk and talk’ therapy.

Always seeking to develop my counselling & therapy practice in Heaton Moor, Stockport, I continue to undertake recognised counselling training and network within psychotherapeutic counselling communities. I have worked as a volunteer counsellor for a bereavement charity.
